Police have arrested 36 men and five women during a raid on a Facebook-organized party in the Victoria area within the Teldeniya Police Division last night (5).
The raid was conducted by a team of officers from the Teldeniya Police Station based on information received by police.
During the operation, police seized 947 mg of cannabis, 3.657 grams of hashish, 1.276 grams of ICE, 18 tablets, 21 illicit cigarettes, 35 cans of 500 ml beer, and 13 bottles of 750 ml government liquor.
The male suspects, aged between 21 and 40, are residents of Gelioya, Aluthwatta, Warakapola, Peradeniya, Ampitiya, Kandy and Hanguranketha.
The five female suspects, aged between 22 and 43, are residents of Pallekele, Peradeniya, Hanguranketha, Dehiwala and Katugastota.
