The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has earned a profit of Rs. 27 billion so far this year, according to its Managing Director, Mayura Nettikumarage.
He also said that efforts to discover natural gas resources in Sri Lanka are expected to achieve success within the next three to five years.
The Managing Director noted that the exploration of domestic energy resources remains an important step towards strengthening Sri Lanka’s energy security.
