Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over an alleged Rs. 100 million bribe linked to an Airbus aircraft transaction, has been remanded until September 18.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama issued the remand order today (04).
Rajapaksa had appeared before CIABOC earlier today to provide a statement in connection with the ongoing investigation into alleged bribery related to the purchase of wide-body aircraft for SriLankan Airlines.
