The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said that the benefits of declining crude oil and refined fuel prices in the global market will be passed on to consumers during the next fuel price revision.

The next fuel price revision is scheduled for the day after tomorrow under the monthly fuel pricing formula.

According to the CPC, global fuel prices have fluctuated over the past several weeks, but the recent downward trend in crude oil and refined fuel prices will be taken into account when determining local fuel prices.

As of the latest market update, Brent crude was trading at US$86.66 per barrel, while U.S. benchmark crude oil stood at US$81.73 per barrel.
