The government has revised the fees for the registration of companies and societies through a Gazette notification issued by Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development Wasantha Samarasinghe.
Under the revised fee structure, the registration fee for a private limited company has been increased from Rs. 4,600 to Rs. 5,200, while the fee for a public limited company has risen from Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 26,400. The registration fee for an unlimited company has also been increased from Rs. 17,250 to Rs. 19,800.
The fee for company name approval has been revised from Rs. 2,300 to Rs. 2,600.
In addition, the registration fee for a society has been increased from Rs. 3,450 to Rs. 3,900, while the fee for amending a society’s constitution has been raised from Rs. 1,725 to Rs. 1,900.
The revised charges come into effect under the Gazette notification issued by the Minister.
