Few showers may occur in Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over Western slopes of the Central hills, North-central province and in Monaragala, Puttalam, Hambantota, Trincomalee and Mannar districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Condition of Rain:
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Negombo to Galle via Colombo.
Winds:
Winds will be south-westerly. Wind speed will be (30-40) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and from Mannar to Chilaw via Puttalam. Wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times in the other sea areas around the island.
State of Sea:
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and from Mannar to Chilaw via Puttalam will be rough at times.
The other sea areas around the island may be fairly rough at times.
The wave height may increase about (2.0 – 2.5) meters in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo.
Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
