According to the Police Media Division, the procession will begin at 8.00 p.m. on July 11 and continue until 1.00 a.m. on July 12.
The Perahera will commence from the Kabulumulla Rajamaha Paththini Devalaya and proceed along the Hatton–Colombo main road up to Karawanella Junction. It will then travel along the Kegalle–Avissawella road towards the vicinity of the Wandala Viharaya in Ruwanwella before returning to the Devalaya.
To facilitate the procession and ensure public safety, temporary traffic restrictions will be enforced on the Hatton–Colombo main road between Karawanella and Nawata Junction during the event.
Police have advised motorists travelling from Hatton towards Colombo to use an alternative route via Yatiyanthota town, Parussella, and Panapitiya roads to Warawala Junction, before joining the Kegalle–Avissawella main road to Ruwanwella. From there, drivers can continue via Nittambuwa Road, Kottan Gas Junction, Mahadeniya Junction, Thalduwa, and Avissawella to reach Colombo.
Motorists are urged to follow police instructions, use the designated diversion routes, and expect delays during the procession.
