The Department of Fire Service has announced that its emergency hotline is temporarily unavailable due to a technical issue.The Head of the Fire Service Department has officially informed the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) of the disruption.
Until the Fire Service hotline is restored, the public is requested to report all fire incidents in both urban and non-urban areas by contacting the Disaster Management Centre’s emergency hotline on 117.
Authorities have advised the public to use the temporary emergency number until further notice and assured that updates will be provided once the Fire Service hotline is operational again.
