The directive has been introduced in response to the alarming increase in road fatalities reported across the country this year.
According to Police, 1,292 fatal road accidents were recorded between January 1 and June 26, resulting in 1,357 deaths. During the same period, 2,512 serious injury accidents and 5,059 minor road accidents were also reported.
