Evan Papageorgiou, Mission Chief for Sri Lanka at the International Monetary Fund, announced that an IMF country team will visit Sri Lanka from June 24 to 30 for a staff visit aimed at assessing the country's ongoing economic reform efforts.

During the visit, the IMF delegation will hold discussions with government authorities and engage with a broad range of stakeholders to evaluate recent economic developments and review the performance of Sri Lanka’s economic reform program.

The mission comes as Sri Lanka continues to implement key reforms under its IMF-supported program, focusing on restoring macroeconomic stability, strengthening public finances, and supporting sustainable economic growth.

The discussions are expected to provide an update on the country's progress in meeting reform targets and maintaining economic recovery momentum following recent financial challenges.
