This year’s tournament has generated massive international interest, attracting players from all International Cricket Council (ICC) Full Member nations as well as several Associate Member countries. In total, players representing 21 different nations across the globe have put their names forward for the competition.
According to the statement released by the cricket governing body, Pakistan leads the registration count with the highest number of players at 102. They are closely followed by the West Indies with 75 players and South Africa with 66.
Other notable representations from Full Member nations include Bangladesh with 48 players, New Zealand with 41, Australia with 24, England with 15, and India with 12 registrations. Additionally, players from prominent Associate nations, including the United States and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have also entered the pool.
Out of the massive list of applicants, a total of 310 players will be shortlisted for the final round following a meticulous screening and evaluation process. This final pool of shortlisted players will then be officially included in the LPL 2026 Player Draft.
The highly anticipated official Player Draft is scheduled to take place on June 1. The sixth edition of the marquee domestic T20 league is set to roar into action from July 17 and will run until August 8, 2026.
