According to a statement issued by the ministry, census officers are currently visiting the residences of applicants to gather required information as part of the verification process.
The ministry has urged the public to cooperate with officers and provide accurate details during the census.
Authorities also warned that strict legal action will be taken against individuals who provide false information in an attempt to obtain welfare benefits fraudulently.
The statement further noted that submitting misleading information for the purpose of securing benefits is considered an offense under the Welfare Benefits Act and may result in imprisonment of up to one year.
