A delegation of officials from the International Cricket Council (ICC), currently visiting Sri Lanka, met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo today (17).

According to reports, the ICC delegation included Vice President Imran Khwaja and Devajit Saikia, along with several other representatives, who participated in the special discussion.

The visit by ICC officials comes in the wake of recent changes within the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), and is being viewed as a significant development for the future of cricket in the country.

Prior to meeting the President, the ICC representatives also held discussions with the newly appointed administrators at the SLC headquarters.

Following the resignation of the previous Sri Lanka Cricket administration, Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage appointed a Cricket Transformation Committee chaired by Iran Wickramaratne to oversee the new administrative process.
