Speaking at a media briefing, SLC Chief Executive Officer Ashley de Silva stated that while reports had appeared in the media, the board had received no official communication on the matter.
“We have seen certain media reports, but we have not been notified of anything. We are not aware of any such development,” he said.
His comments came in response to questions from journalists regarding speculation that the government had sought the resignation of the SLC ExCo, with particular attention on its president.
