Sri Lanka’s Colombo Dockyard completes “Misje Kandy” for Norway

The 89.95-meter ship “Misje Kandy”, built by Colombo Dockyard, was officially handed over to its Norwegian owner, Roald Misje, in a ceremony attended by Deputy Minister Janitha Ruwan Kodituwakku, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Nishantha Jayaweera, and Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha.

The vessel, equipped with hybrid technology, highlights the expertise and innovation of the Colombo Dockyard team and is regarded as a source of national pride.

Colombo Dockyard reaffirmed its position as a reliable builder of high-quality, environmentally friendly ships for international clients. The project is expected to open doors for new global contracts, strengthen Sri Lanka’s foreign exchange earnings, and set a benchmark for the country’s future achievements in shipbuilding.
