Two earthquakes of 4.6 and 4.5 magnitude struck Afghanistan within hours, highlighting the region’s seismic risk and frequent tremors in the Hindu Kush zone.

Authorities confirmed that the latest tremor occurred late at night, while an earlier one shook the region in the morning. Though both quakes were moderate in strength, their occurrence on the same day highlighted

Afghanistan’s ongoing vulnerability to seismic activity. Experts say such repeated tremors are common in regions located along active tectonic boundaries.
