The Department of Meteorology has warned that certain areas of the country may experience “feels-like” temperatures today (21st March). According to the department, this could occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central, Southern, and Northwestern provinces, as well as in parts of Monaragala, Mannar, Vavuniya, and Mullaitivu districts.
Meanwhile, the department also predicts that isolated showers or thundershowers may occur after 1:00 PM in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Northwestern, and Uva provinces, including the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions against heat and sudden rainfall.
