Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid wrote in a post on X that Afghanistan was carrying out “large-scale offensive operations” against the Pakistani military “along the Durand Line” that separates both countries.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a statement that Islamabad had “always sought peace” but the armed forces will now “firmly confront any aggression”.
