Deputy Minister of Mass Media Kaushalya Ariyaratne emphasized that inclusive education and support for persons with disabilities are central to the government’s reform agenda.

Speaking at a recent event, she said education reforms are not limited to reducing the financial burden on parents but also aim to strengthen special education and ensure equal opportunities for all children.

Dr. Ariyaratne stressed that persons with disabilities must be fully integrated into society and enabled to contribute actively to the country’s development.

“We are not leaving anyone behind. This is a journey towards development by bringing together all those whose rights have been violated,” she said.

She added that substantial budget allocations have been made for education, health, and public transportation, reflecting the government’s priorities. The Deputy Minister also noted that decisions are taken collectively within the administration, underscoring its unified approach to governance.
