A suspect was arrested with 108 turtle eggs during a search operation carried out in the Randobe area of Balapitiya yesterday (17), according to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard.
The operation was launched following information received by the Coast Guard.
The arrested individual, along with the seized turtle eggs, has been handed over to the Ambalangoda Police Station for further legal action.
