The President and the Sri Lankan delegation left the island this afternoon from Bandaranaike International Airport at 2:05 p.m. aboard a SriLankan Airlines flight bound for Delhi, according to airport sources.
President Dissanayake is expected to join regional and global leaders, policymakers, and technology experts at the AI Impact Summit 2026, where discussions will focus on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in economic development, governance, innovation, and regional cooperation.
The visit is seen as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and India, particularly in emerging technologies and digital transformation. Further engagements and bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit are also anticipated.
