The exhibition is jointly organised by the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association, the National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA), and the Export Development Board (EDB), with the aim of promoting Sri Lanka’s gem and jewellery industry in the global market.
The inauguration was attended by Minister Sunil Handunnetti, Minister Vijitha Herath, Chairman of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority Dr. S. P. Chaminda, diplomats, and other distinguished guests.
Participants from several countries, including China, India, and the United States, are taking part in the exhibition, showcasing a wide range of gems, jewellery, and related products.
The event is expected to strengthen international trade links, attract foreign buyers, and highlight Sri Lanka’s reputation as one of the world’s leading sources of high-quality gemstones.
