In a bid to reduce traffic congestion and improve commuter experience, four new entry lanes have been opened at the Seeduwa Interchange on the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway, effective from today (December 23).

The Road Development Authority said that the new lanes include one Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) lane, operating 24 hours a day, and three standard ticket lanes. The measure is expected to streamline traffic flow for the thousands of vehicles entering the expressway daily.

To prevent delays caused by drivers mistakenly using the ETC lane, the lane has been clearly marked in blue, and a speed limit of 15 km/h has been implemented within the lane.
