Indian External Affairs Minister to visit Sri Lanka Today

India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today on an official visit,

 Dr. Jaishankar is expected to reach the island today afternoon. During the visit, the Indian Foreign Minister will distribute an Indian relief package to communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah.

The visit is also intended to mark a new milestone in Operation Sagar Bandhu, India’s initiative aimed at supporting people affected by disasters in the region. The programme comes as Sri Lanka continues its recovery efforts following Cyclone Ditwah.

 The visit takes place amid ongoing engagement between Colombo and New Delhi, focusing on economic stabilisation, humanitarian assistance, and strengthening regional cooperation.
