Accordingly, water flowing across the roadway along the stretch from Gallella to Manampitiya has created hazardous conditions. As a safety measure, the Polonnaruwa Police imposed restrictions on the movement of three-wheelers and motorcycles during the night of December 19.
Police stated that the decision was taken as the flow of water across the road poses a significant risk to small vehicles, urging motorists to exercise caution and use alternative routes where possible.
