According to the Department, two spill gates have been opened by four inches each, while the remaining two gates have been opened by three inches each. As a result, a total water discharge of approximately 3,884 cubic feet per second is currently being released from the reservoir.
The Department of Irrigation has requested residents living in nearby low-lying areas and downstream regions to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions, as water levels in canals and rivers connected to the reservoir may rise.
Authorities have advised the public to closely follow official updates and cooperate with local disaster management officials to ensure safety.
