The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of B. A. T. Rodrigo as the new Director General of the Department of State Enterprises.
The position became vacant following the retirement of P. A. S. Athula Kumara on 3 December. Rodrigo is a Special Grade officer of the Sri Lanka Accountants Service and currently serves as an Additional Director General of the Department of State Enterprises.
The appointment was approved based on a proposal submitted by the President, in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Policy Planning and Economic Development.
