The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Shanika Dissanayake, paid a courtesy call on His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, at the Gudaibiya Palace in Manama on December 14, 2025.
During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and extended congratulations to the Crown Prince on the occasion of Bahrain’s 54th National Day, celebrated on December 16. She briefed him on the wide-ranging bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Bahrain, with emphasis on opportunities to enhance cooperation, particularly in trade and investment.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted the longstanding and cordial ties between the two nations and commended the contributions of the Sri Lankan community in Bahrain. He also reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to further strengthening and expanding cooperation with Sri Lanka across multiple sectors.
