The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has urged the public to remain vigilant regarding the landslide red warnings issued in view of the prevailing rainy conditions.
Accordingly, the risk of landslides remains active in the districts of Badulla, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, and Ratnapura.
Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology has stated that an increase in rainfall across the island is expected from the day after tomorrow.
Authorities advise residents in high-risk areas to closely follow safety instructions and remain alert to further updates.
