She began her chess journey at Ferguson Girls’ High School in Ratnapura, where her talent was first nurtured, before moving to Wycherley International School, Colombo, to further develop her skills. Under the guidance of her current coach, veteran trainer Akila Kavinda, Devindya Oshini has continued to make rapid progress and achieve international success.
