The Teldeniya Police raided a Facebook-organised party at a hotel near the Victoria Reservoir in the early hours of today (13) and arrested 22 male suspects and four female suspects in possession of drugs.
Police seized 4,134 milligrams of ice, 1,875 milligrams of hash, 2,769 milligrams of kush, 390 milligrams of cocaine, 804 milligrams of mushroom, 13 pills, and 12 illegal cigarettes.
The suspects, aged between 18 and 31 years, are residents of several areas including Kandy, Mulleriyawa, Hatton, Homagama, Dompe, Trincomalee and Ja-Ela. The female suspects, aged between 21 and 26 years, are from Kandy, Negombo and Pudaluoya.
All suspects are due to be produced before the Teldeniya Magistrate’s Court today, while police continue further investigations.
