Former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal and three others have been acquitted in the case related to the controversial purchase of Greek Bonds in 2012.
The Colombo High Court issued the order today after the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) informed the court that it was withdrawing all charges against the defendants.
The case, filed over alleged financial losses to the state from the bond purchase, had been under examination for several years before the withdrawal of charges led to the acquittal.
