President Anura Kumara Dissanayake took to X (formerly Twitter) today to express his gratitude to US President Donald J. Trump for the flood-relief assistance provided to Sri Lanka following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah last month.
In his post, President Dissanayake wrote, “My deepest gratitude to the US and President @realDonaldTrump for standing with us yet again at a time of need.” He also noted that the swift deployment of US C-130 aircraft and the immediate release of US$ 2 million in emergency aid “reflect the strength of our enduring partnership, firmly rooted in shared democratic values, and close ties between our people.”
