In celebration of its 75th anniversary today, the Sri Lanka Navy has promoted a total of 2,086 personnel, including 17 officers and 2,069 senior and junior sailors, to their next respective ranks and rates.
The Navy said the promotions were made on the recommendation of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, in recognition of the dedication and service of its personnel throughout the force’s distinguished 75-year history.
