The section of the Kandy–Colombo main road between Ganethenna and Pahala Kadugannawa, which had been closed several times due to earthslips and landslide threats, is scheduled to reopen for vehicular movement tomorrow (08), the Road Development Authority (RDA) announced.
According to the RDA, the stretch at Pahala Kadugannawa will be open 24 hours a day for all vehicles starting from 4.00 a.m. tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the RDA further stated that over 200 roads islandwide, which were blocked as a result of the recent adverse weather and heavy rainfall, have now been cleared and reopened for public use.
