The National Transport Commission (NTC) has announced that special buses will be deployed for train passengers traveling from Kandy to Colombo starting tomorrow (08) morning.

NTC Chairman P.A. Chandrapala stated that passengers can use their train season tickets to travel on these buses. Special services are scheduled for 4.00, 4.15, and 4.30 a.m., with additional buses arranged if demand exceeds capacity.

Public bus services between Colombo and Kandy are also set to resume from tomorrow. The designated route for long-distance buses runs via Kandy, Katugastota, Galagedara, Hatharaliyadda, Rambukkana, Karadupana, Kegalle, and Pasyala to Colombo.

Chairman Chandrapala emphasized that this route has been selected as a safe option for passengers.
