Myanmar relief aid aircraft arrives in Sri Lanka

A special aircraft belonging to the Myanmar Air Force carrying a consignment of disaster relief aid and an official delegation from Myanmar arrived at the Katunayake Air Force Base at midnight yesterday (06).

The aircraft brought a stock of sanitary items, medicines and medical equipment as part of Myanmar’s relief assistance to Sri Lanka.

The Y-8 aircraft of the Myanmar Air Force landed at the Katunayake Air Force Base at around 11.30 p.m. yesterday (06).

Sri Lanka’s Myanmar Ambassador Marla Than Htaik, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar Zaw Phyo Win, and Sri Lanka Air Force Air Vice Marshal Deshapriya Silva, along with several other officials, were present to receive the consignment.
