According to the Police Media Division, heavy rainfall experienced across the island in recent days has increased the risk of landslides in multiple districts identified as vulnerable.
The advisory lists high-risk areas in the districts of Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Rathnapura, Colombo, Galle, Gampaha, Kalutara, Matara and Monaragala. Authorities have urged residents living in these locations to remain vigilant and follow safety instructions issued by local officials.
