Navy officers have seized 63.718 kilograms of Ice and 14.802 kilograms of heroin that had been packed into three fertilizer bags and transported on a suspicious boat off the coast of Kalpitiya.
The operation was carried out last night (05), after which the seized narcotics were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
According to reports, the owner of the boat—a resident of Kalpitiya—is currently being sought by the PNB, which is conducting further investigations to arrest the suspect.
