The Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development has confirmed that 416 manufacturing and export factories across Sri Lanka were damaged by Cyclone Ditva. The ministry has proposed providing 25% of the total damages immediately to the affected factories.

Restoration efforts are ongoing through a data collection process, and factory owners are urged to report damages by calling 071 266 6660 before December 16.

The most affected districts include Gampaha, Colombo, Puttalam, Trincomalee, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matara, Kandy, and Batticaloa.

To support rebuilding efforts, the ministry has allocated Rs. 3 billion in non-repayable subsidies, with urgent steps being taken to release the funds. Industrialists have also stressed the need for repairing water, electricity, and road infrastructure to accelerate recovery.
