The National Transport Commission (NTC) has taken strict action against a Monaragala-Colombo bus and its crew after they endangered passengers by driving through flooded areas in Kumbukkana.
The bus owner, driver, and conductor were summoned last Wednesday for questioning. Following the investigation, the bus’s road permit was suspended for two weeks, while the driver and conductor were suspended from service for one month.
The NTC emphasized that such misconduct will not be tolerated, especially during hazardous weather conditions.
