Neyyathamby Marikkar Mohamed Tahir was sworn in as a Member of Parliament this morning (5) before Speaker Jagath Vikramarathne.
He fills the vacancy left by Muhammed Ismail Muthu Muhammed, who resigned from his position as a National List MP representing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. The party nominated Mohamed Tahir to assume the parliamentary seat.
