The Thera urged devotees from other parts of the country to limit travel to Anuradhapura as much as possible, similar to the guidance issued on previous Poya days.
He stated that religious rituals will be conducted as usual, and added that today’s observances will also focus on transferring merits to all those affected by the recent disaster situation, including those who lost their lives.
Ven. Hemarathana Thera further noted that devotees are encouraged to engage in spiritual activities mindfully and safely under the current circumstances.
