According to the forecast, showers or thundershowers may occur after 2.00 p.m. at several places in the Northern, North-Central, and Eastern provinces, as well as in the Badulla and Matale districts.
Meanwhile, misty conditions are expected in the early hours of the morning in parts of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and Southern provinces, in addition to Kurunegala and Ampara districts.
The Met Department urges the public to take necessary precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Rainfall Conditions:
Showers are likely at a few locations in the sea areas extending from Trincomalee to Mannar via Kankasanthurai.
Wind Conditions:
Winds will be south-westerly in the sea areas from Kankasanthurai to Matara via Mannar, Colombo, and Galle. In other sea areas, winds will be variable. Wind speeds are expected to range between 25–35 kmph.
State of the Sea:
The sea around the island will be slight to moderate. However, temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas may occur during thundershowers.
The authorities advise fishermen and naval communities to remain vigilant and act with caution during adverse weather conditions.
