Sri Lanka has reported 366 deaths due to severe weather over the six-day period from November 26 to December 1, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) confirmed.
In addition, 367 people remain missing as of 6:00 pm today.
The extreme weather has severely affected 1,151,776 people from 316,366 families across 25 districts.
Currently, 218,526 individuals from 61,612 families are taking refuge in 1,564 safety shelters, according to the DMC.
