Budget committee debate resumes today(01)

The Parliamentary Budget Committee debate, which was postponed for two days due to the prevailing disaster situation in the country, is scheduled to resume today (01).

According to Parliamentary officials, expenditure heads of six ministries will be taken up for debate today (01) and tomorrow (02). The sessions are set to run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight, marking the first time the budget debate will be extended for such long hours.

Today’s (01) debate will focus on the expenditure heads of the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Women and Child Affairs, Buddha Sasana Religious and Cultural Affairs, and Environment.

Meanwhile, expenditure heads of the Ministries of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperatives, as well as Agriculture and Infrastructure, are scheduled to be debated tomorrow (02).
