The Ministry of Digital Economy has launched a new official website to streamline financial assistance for those affected by Cyclone Ditwa, which caused widespread destruction across Sri Lanka.

The platform, titled “Stand With Sri Lanka”, is accessible via donate.gov.lk, and enables the global community—including expatriate Sri Lankans and international well-wishers—to contribute emergency funds directly to government-designated bank accounts.

According to the Ministry, the website ensures secure and transparent processing of all donations. It also provides verified account details and clear information on how contributions will be utilized.

The Ministry further confirmed that 100% of the donated funds will be directed toward the following government-led emergency relief operations:

Providing essential food supplies to displaced families

Supplying clean water and sanitation to prevent disease outbreaks

Delivering urgent medical assistance to the injured and vulnerable

Offering temporary shelter and relief kits to those who have lost their homes

This centralized donation portal aims to support rapid, well-coordinated recovery for communities impacted by the disaster.
