Landslide Red Alerts Extended for 93 Divisional Secretariat Areas Across 11 Districts
The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has extended landslide warnings for 93 Divisional Secretariat areas across 11 districts, as continuous heavy rainfall continues to increase the risk of landslides, slope failures, and rock falls.

Several areas in Kalutara, Galle, Monaragala, and Ratnapura districts have been issued Level 2 (Amber) Landslide Warnings.
A total of 31 Divisional Secretariat areas in Colombo, Gampaha, Hambantota, and Matara districts are under Level 1 (Yellow) Landslide Alerts.
Authorities urge all residents in high-risk zones to remain alert, follow official instructions, and evacuate immediately if conditions worsen. Emergency response teams have been mobilized as adverse weather is expected to continue.
