The water level at the Ambatale Reservoir has risen, and water is being released into the low-lying areas around the reservoir, causing a flood situation in the Kolonnawa area.
The Disaster Management Centre advises residents in the Kolonnawa area, which is downstream of the Ambatale Reservoir, to be extremely vigilant and evacuate to a safe location as soon as possible to ensure your safety.
