Sri Lanka cricket team donates Pakistan series earnings to flood victims

Sri Lanka’s national cricket team has announced that it will donate all tour money and match fees from the Pakistan series to assist those affected by the recent devastating floods and landslides across the country.

Head Coach Sanath Jayasuriya said in a statement on behalf of the team that the players and support staff are deeply saddened by the hardships faced by their fellow Sri Lankans and expressed heartfelt concern for families impacted by the disaster.

He added that the team plans to continue supporting relief efforts once they return home, with further initiatives aimed at helping those in need.

The head coach also urged the public to stay safe, follow official guidelines, and support one another during this challenging time, reaffirming the team’s solidarity with all Sri Lankans.
